Purpose of the Group
The purpose of the Central High School Ceramics Club is to provide enrichment for ceramics students beyond what they are able to experience within the classroom. This club will provide students with the opportunity for further artistic achievement through experimentation with various ceramic materials, field trips to museums and local ceramic artist's studios, and to build camaraderie with fellow student artists.
Requirements for Membership
To qualify for membership, a student must be currently or previously enrolled in 3D Design, Advanced 3D Design, or AP 3D Design, and maintain a 70% (C) average in the class. The club sponsor may approve acceptance of a student to this club who does not meet the above stated criteria based on the students art production in the visual arts AND absence of a disciplinary record.
Anticipated Group Activities
The CHS Ceramics Club will design and order t-shirts, sell hand-made holiday ornaments to raise money to fund various trips throughout the year.
