Hall of Fame

W.F. (Bill) Enright (1920-1998) was known statewide for his work in the banking and finance industry.  Bill served his country in WWII and Korea.  He graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.  Bill was a life-long supporter of higher education. A member of the Board of Regents and Trustees for Missouri Western State University, Bill was instrumental in its transition from a junior college to a four-year institution.  Bill and his wife, Patricia Quinn Enright, raised five children, three of whom attended Central High School.  Along with his father, Bill established the Enright Charitable Trust providing financial support for numerous St. Joseph School District educational and infrastructure projects.  In recognition of the Enright family, the Academic Hall of Fame was established to honor Central High School graduates for significant contributions in their career and academic endeavors. 

Candidates will:

1.  Demonstrate significant contributions or accomplishments in their profession or field.

2. Possess high character.

3. Be distinguished at the state, national, or international level in contributing to their field of work or study.

4. Demonstrate personal excellence.

Selection process:

1. Notable graduates may be nominated by any Central graduate. Nomination deadline for the next induction group is December 1st.

2. Selections will be made by the Central High school administration and the CHS Enright Academic Hall of Fame committee.

3. Biographical information about the inductees will be displayed in the Enright Academic Hall of Fame display case in the cafeteria hallway.

4. Up to 5 inductees will be honored yearly.
